Professional Movers.com has joined the efforts of Move For Hunger to play a powerful role in strengthening the collection efforts of our communities’ food banks. Move For Hunger is an organization that collects unwanted, non-perishable food from those who are relocating. Together, we are harnessing our resources and tapping into our network of customers to make it easier for our customers to donate any unwanted or unopened food.
Here is how it works:
Every time one of our Certified Moving Consultants performs an in-house survey for a residential move, we will provide our customers with an avenue to make it easy for them to donate unwanted or excess food. For instance, we will provide them with a free collection box, we will assist them in packing the box, and we will even pick-up and deliver the donated items directly to the local Hospitality House Food Pantry in Walled Lake, MI.
The plan is simple but has a huge impact our local community. Our customers' donations will directly impact thousands of families living right here in Oakland County.
